Research Interest:

In my research activities, I focus on the issue of natural resources regulation (in particular water and biodiversity) and the social aspects of the decreasing of natural risks (droughts and floods). These topics are currently being researched within the context of adapting to the global climatic change. The key factors of my research are individual motivation and behaviour, and the functioning of local initiatives and land owners. I have been working at the FSE UJEP since 2013. I am an Associate Professor of Public Economics and the guarantor of the postgraduate study programme of Regional Development and Public Administration as well as the doctoral study programme of Applied Economics and Public Administration. From 2016 to 2019, I used to serve as a member of an inter-ministerial working group WATER-DROUGHT. From 2017 to 2022, leaded a pan-European COST Action called Land4Flood: Natural Flood Retention on Private Land. I spent the academic year 2021/22 at University of Massachusetts, Amherst (USA) as the Fulbright Commission grantee.
