Request You will use this application in case of leaving the study, interruption of the study, when applying for a change of supervisor, application for changing the name of the dissertation projects, etc. In the application, it is always necessary to define what you are applying for.
The course of study

After admission to the study, it is necessary to submit the following signed documents:
- Occupational safety and health, OSH – BOZP
- The General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR
- When teaching online – Consent to make a recording in the application – APPROVAL
Defence of the dissertation project
The student will prepare their dissertation project in the range of 20 – 30 pages in the depth and structure corresponding to the scientific work.
The project can be submitted in English.
The project must include: a) a clear definition of the goal and its relevance, b) a detailed search for the given area of research based on the international environment, c) a detailed methodology of the work (design of one’s own research).
The defence of the dissertation project takes place in predetermined terms before the commission. The commission is appointed by the Dean on the proposal of the supervisor of the field.
The commission will consist of at least 3 members, while at least 1 member will be from a workplace other than UJEP.
The completed project together with the statement of his / her supervisor will be sent by the student to the Vice-Dean for Science and Research of FSE UJEP no later than one month before the announcement.
The Vice-Dean for Science and Research of FSE UJEP will ensure the elaboration of at least 2 opponent’s opinions and the distribution of the project and opinions at least one week before the date of the defence to all members of the commission.
In its opinion, the Commission formulates the conclusion of whether the level of the project meets/does not meet the parameters of the dissertation plan.
The members vote secretly on the result of the defence;
The defence of the dissertation project must be completed by the student by the end of the 6th semester of his / her doctoral study.
A little defence
A little defence takes place at the department of the relevant faculty where the doctoral student works. It usually takes place in the time interval between the defence of the dissertation project and the defence of the dissertation. A small defence takes place after the meeting of the department, to which an extra invitation for the members of the department is delivered. Minutes must be taken of the small defence.
Colloquium
It is a presentation and discussion of the results achieved in the past year and plans for the future. The student can present their previous publications and current work on the dissertation.
It is recommended to prepare a presentation in a PowerPoint (5 – 10 slides).
