The Czech Science Foundation (GAČR) and foreign international agencies support six international projects starting in January 2023 including the project of doc. Ing. Lenka Slavíková, Ph.D. The Czech-Slovenina project dealing with the topic of damage reduction from natural disasters and adaptation to climate change will be solved by the IEEP FSE team in cooperation with the University of Ljubljana and Czech Globe in the years 2023-2025.


The research team led by PhDr. Kateřina Bernardová, presented at the prestigious congress of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) the outputs of the project “Application of psychosocial approach to identify and strengthen human adaptation mechanisms during long-term spaceflights into deep space”.

The project was financially supported by The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic.

Introducing a new international project D-Care: Developing, piloting and validating smart care models in the Danube region for supporting social innovation, improving competences and entrepreneurship (2020 – 2021) coordinated by our Romanian partners at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Hateganu” Cluj Napoca – the FSE UJEP cooperates with this university as one of 19 partners. The project deals with innovations in the area of healthcare and social services. It is financed by the Danube Transnational Programme. Find more information of the project on the Facebook.

We are proud of our leadership in the European Cooperation in Science and Technology research (COST Action) called LAND4FLOOD: Natural Flood Retention on Private Land (www.land4flood.eu), the elected chairwoman whereof is doc. Ing. Lenka Slavíková, Ph.D. (FSE UJEP) and the vice-chairman is a visiting professor at the FSE UJEP dr. Thomas Hartmann (Wageningen University, the Netherlands). The initiative brings together researchers from the whole of Europe which has resulted in a number of expert conferences, workshops and popularisation materials as well as excellent research articles.
