The InnoBridge Project Has Officially Started

On 12 May 2026, the kick-off meeting of the new German-Czech project InnoBridge took place in Dresden, officially launching the joint working phase of the project.
The project brings together partners from Germany and the Czech Republic – TU Dresden, Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU), and IU Internationale Hochschule. The main goal of the project is to support small and medium-sized enterprises in Saxony and the Ústí nad Labem region in developing future-oriented skills and to strengthen cross-border cooperation between academia, business, and continuing education.
The project focuses primarily on so-called future skills – competencies that are becoming increasingly important for the changing labour market and the innovative development of the region. Planned activities include company visits, case studies, networking events, micro-courses, and the creation of a bilingual digital platform: the InnoBridge Future Skills Hub.
The kick-off meeting in Dresden provided an opportunity for the project partners to introduce themselves, plan the first activities, and coordinate future cooperation. The project team is looking forward to working together and to building stronger connections between science, business, and education in the Saxon-Czech border region.
