The Students´ grant competition (SGC)

Student grant projects are carried out by academic staff in collaboration with students enrolled in master’s or doctoral programs. The competition guidelines are set out in accordance with Rector’s Directive No. 8/2023.

Basic conditions of the competition:

• Eligibility: The project proposer must be either a doctoral student accredited by FSE UJEP or a member of the FSE UJEP academic staff (in accordance with Art. 2, point 1 of Directive No. 8/2023).
• Project Duration: The duration of a student project is between 1 and 3 years.
• Personnel Costs: Student participation costs (as researchers or co-researchers) must exceed 75% of the total personnel costs (e.g., 75.1%, not exactly 75%).
• Travel and Conferences: Travel costs, including conference fees, are paid to students as reimbursement scholarships and must be included under personnel costs.
• Ethics Committee: For projects involving data collection, it is recommended that applicants obtain approval from the FSE UJEP Ethics Committee prior to submitting their application.

Submitting a New Application

• Deadline: January 15, 2026
• Submission Process: Applications must be submitted to the Secretary of the FSE Grant Committee, B. Kamarýtová (barbora.kamarytova[at]ujep.cz), using the prescribed form.
• Application Requirements: Please provide two hard copies (originals) and an electronic version in .doc/.docx format sent via email to the Secretary.
