International Guests at our Faculty

Our faculty was visited on May 15th by colleagues from several universities:

• Mandy Schulze from University Görlitz/Germany
• Serpil Agcakaya from Suleyman Demirel University/Turkey
• Tugay Gunel from Cukurova University/Turkey
• Stefan Catalin Popa from Bucharest University of Economic Studies/Romania
• Olga Grajek from University of Wroclaw/Poland
• Marcin Kozierski from University of Wroclaw/Poland
• Karolina Inglot from University of Wroclaw/Poland

With all the colleagues, we discussed the current collaboration, opened the topic of alumni care at our universities, and, of course, included a tour of the UJEP Campus.

Prof. Dr. Mandy Schulze also met with representatives of our Department of Social Work. In addition to the content of study programs dealing with social issues, she introduced the local system of internships and the challenges that the University in Görlitz faces concerning the need for workers in the social sector and education.

“I am glad that we had the opportunity to meet with the professor and discuss the possibilities of sharing experiences and further potential collaboration,” said Dr. Jitka Laštovková, Vice-Dean for External Relations.

We are always pleased to welcome these international visits at our faculty. We plan to organize a larger Staff Week from November 25th to 29th, 2024 – all colleagues from abroad are invited.
