Research Interests:
I focus on applied environmental economics, evaluating the benefits and costs of blue-green infrastructure both in urban and rural areas. My work includes assessing measures such as green roofs, community gardens, and other nature-based solutions aimed at effective rainwater management. I am interested not only in methods of valuing the benefits and costs of these
measures but also in understanding public preferences for different types of urban greenery and exploring ways to support their implementation through appropriate policy tools and governance models.
In this field, I work on scientific projects, publish research, and support
students in completing their thesis work. As an economic analyst and
researcher at the Institute for Economic and Environmental Policy (IEEP), I co- organize the Czech Envi Thesis, a competition for the best student projects, and co-lead expert discussions on current issues through the Platform for Green and Blue Infrastructure.
