Mgr. Jitka Laštovková, Ph.D.

Research Interests:

My research interest is primarily related to my long-term professional experience – I focus on the sociology of the army, on the issue of gender and the issue of new-age veterans, and extreme human situations. Concurrently, I deal with general sociological aspects of regional social problems. I have been working at the Department of Social Work, FSE UJEP, since 2013; at this institution, I principally focus on the sociological basis of studies. In the pursuit thereof, I utilize my research experience from the Army of the Czech Republic and the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, as well as my previous experience with conceptual work at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. I am a member of the ERGOMAS organisation of military sociologists, and of the Czech Sociological Association.
