Research Interests:
Within the area of cognitive linguistics, my attention is drawn to the relatedness of grammatical traits, syntax, and vocabulary of the English language and the everyday reality of the English-speaking people. Moreover, I examine the English environment, manner of thinking, as well as speaking. I also pursue the history and the life and institutions of the British Isles. I have been working at FSE UJEP since 1994; I hold the position of an assistant professor at the Department of Foreign Languages, as well as various organisational positions (in different periods: the AS FSE chairman, Vice-Dean of Study, Chief of the Department of Foreign Languages). I utilize my foreign language knowledge and history in the teaching of sociological topics.
